Brighten up your Headlights !!! Big time.

Post by mrdance123 »

This headlight wiring harness relay kit from Amazon is so easy to use! Plug and play.

It will greatly brighten original stock headlights, increasing voltage at the lights by at least 2 Volts.
Toyota's stock wiring is cheap, it sucks, their tiny wires cause massive voltage loss.
MEASURE your voltage at the headlight connector plug (car running or not)
you will see headlight voltage here is quite low compared to the battery.

This harness is also designed for new LED headlights to work.
(fixes negative switching and reversed polarity issue in stock wiring system)

I'm not clear on what this wiring harness is for. Do you use it with the stock 83-86 bulbs to increase the voltage they get?

In my '87, I put in these LED bulbs a few years ago and have been really happy with them. They're one of the best bang for the buck mods I have come across.

while i dont like how the original post is acting like a spam ad bot, the harness is mainly for led headlights so they function correctly with the switching negative method. however, over time, the car's harness will have degraded to an extent and it can incur a voltage drop on the headlight circuit. However if you have a 2+ volt drop on your headlights you should look into why instead of using this as a bandaid. they dont use water proof relays, and usually after a year water will ingress into the relays and cause all sorts of issues, especially if you drive it in the winter.
