Busted speedometer gear cable housing thing.
Hey guys. Ive seen a couple of posts on here of people having this housing on the speedometer busted, but I couldnt really find a good solution. Does anybody know a fix for this, or where to get a replacement? I looked online but couldn't find anything that looked right.

I've had a few speedo's out of the transmission but not often or recent enough to be able to tell exactly what I'm looking at in your pics. In any case, your best bet is to find a good used one. I would check the Facebook group, Luke Anthony there (he goes by MrWrench here but is more active on the fb group) often has lots of parts he is willing to sell to other enthusiasts.
I think I remember hearing that there are different gears though, ie the white gear that goes in the transmission can have a different # of teeth on it or something like that. You may have already read that on other threads here but if not I would look that up and confirm it before buying another one. The 83/84 transmissions had different gearing from the 85-87's so I imagine that's where you will see different speedo gears as well but I'm not sure about that.

there are no replacements, so you have to find a used one.

How many teeth on gear
I may have one

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
