Re: The Tersailor (REBUILDING)
Update. The car seemed complete and ready to start! New coolant and oil. Wiring appears complete. Upon turning the ignition and attempted to start... Only heard a single click and no crank. Upon investigating the clutch was not installed properly and the new 60$ 24f walmart battery wasnt giving enough power. After putting a battery jump starter, the car is now cranking..ish . First 2 seconds it cranks clunking, then After 2 seconds when cranking, a extremely loud grinding sound happens. Almost but could not get the engine to start. Hopefully its a bad starter (accidently forgot and left the starter outside in rain... Not sure if that could cause any problems ) I might send a sound clip if it continues with a new starter.

What was wrong with the clutch installation? Did you get it sorted out?

Yep the clutch cable seem to have slipped out of position. Im glad it was not anything internal. Works much better than i thought since transmission also shifts more freely in park to all the gears than before. But tomorrow ill see if i can find anything more that's been misplaced.

IT RUNS!!!!!! Decided to go the store and buy some starting fluid. Cleaned the starter, and crank it! It still made a few clunking sounds when cranking but the engine starts up now! After about a minute running i also realized that the engine had 0 coolant inside due to a leak. There was also a oil and gas leak here and there, made a few adjustments with the distributor, its running a bit smooth now. Starter seems to start better and better each try. The Battery doesnt have a problem either.
I still need to made a few adjustments and test drive tomorrow but man im glad to hear it run, for years I've been dreaming for this momment. I think the starter was the problem, but it seems to repair itself from rust or something. Anywho, I feel like I completed my purpose in life.
