I’m looking for a few gears. Can they be found? Where?
Thanks! 86 T4WD

Re: Gears for trans
you might be able to find enough good peices to get it back together, but you may have other hidden damage from all the metal parts grinding away inside the trans before it completely bundled up. it will be much easier to find a complete transmission assembly to swap out, or if it is known buggered up, might be a good source of parts.

1st gear doesn’t work on my 4x4, but the EL gear works fine.

Re: Gears for trans
That’s 4th gear and it drives all other gears. It’s the gear that breaks most often so finding a good one is hard to do. The FWD tercel tranny is a good way to get one cause that gear is interchangeable between FWD and 4wd tranny.
If you decide not to fix it you should take tranny apart and save synchros, aluminum shift forks, all fifth gear related parts at front of tranny and countershaft if no teeth ar damaged and the large gear that 4th gear drives called main idler

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
