Post by Erikwi »

i have the stock radio, and its a little deaf. does anyone have this issue? am or FM, just get a fraction of the stations of any other radio
today i changed it to LED backlights
what a project, the front circuit board had to be unsoldered
(reception was the same before this)

Are you still using the original antenna? I'm not sure how good the original ones are since my wagon had some amazon replacement when I bought it.
You could try building an FM antenna booster circuit if you want to keep the antenna you have.
The LED backlights look really good!

yes i have the factory stainless antenna.
yes its a beautiful radio i do not want an aftermarket one. if it is damaged maybe a weak transistor or something i would be happy to have it fixed.

This happened to me in my 87 4runner. I had lots of interference from different things around my dash. My CB radio always seemed to cut into my AM/FM radio (when it was on) - Same with my iPhone charger. Seemed to cause my radio to have little to weak signal which sometimes caused the volume to be low.

What's the Washer button? And 27.6 number out of curiosity?

Hope that helps not sure it's the same problem.

My windshield washer button on the stalk doesn't work.
That's why.
And that number is the outside temp in c.
I always like having an outside temp reading. No reason just I like it

Erik,

I like that temp sensor. Clean & easy to read - Is it bright at night? Annoying or anything?

Erikwi, I'm not sure why your radio gets weak signals but my guess is that it is antenna related. I would make sure the antenna wire plug is corrosion-free and securely plugged into the radio. If that's not it, I would trace the wire all the way to the antenna to make sure it hasn't been accidentally cut or damaged.

Where did you get the outdoor temp gauge, and was it easy to install? I definitely want one.
