Choke Pull Off for carburetor

Post by Hteverow »

Good Morning Good People--

I'm looking to find a choke pull off for my '86 SR5 with the stock Aisin carb. My mechanic says the one that's currently on there is busted, hence the incredibly rough idle for the first few minutes in the AM.

Any leads?

Thanks,

HT

Until your replacement part shows up, you can just cap the hose that goes to the choke pull-off. It should run a bit better then.

Looking at the rock auto link, there are two separate diaphragms on the unit. Suck on the port for each of yours to confirm which one does not hold air. The hose that goes to the one that does not hold air is the one you need to cap. Or both, if neither does.

Thanks, guys! I see two things for sale when I click that link: one part for $33.79, and another for $42.79. Am I getting both, or just one?

Choose which one you want and add it to your 'cart.' I'd go with the cheaper one, personally.

Also, if you search on the forum here you should find a current discount code. It's only for 5% off but hey, why not.

They're both the same part just two different brands. Pick one. Put this code 144336455133192587 in the "where did you hear about us" box during checkout and you will get 5% off your price.
