Does anyone know where to find a window shield near alaska? Maybe Washington or Oregon?

Hi Sam,

welcome to the forum. I think the windshield repair company "Safelite auto glass" can still get them new. They are difficult to salvage out of an existing car without risk damaging them the way they are glued in place with polyurethane glue. I have tried several times, no such luck.

Getting one with the tinted visor is difficult, but the last I checked you can still get a plain clear one new.

car-part.com has several listed, and a few in Washington and Oregon. Unfortunately with how the website works, I cannot give you a direct link to the results.

Hey, thanks for that, but it seems that the site has not been updated in a long time. Does anyone else have any ideas?

The local auto glass shop in Bremerton gets them .last time I got one was 8 years ago. I have removed them from parts cars several times. Guitar string wire worked real well. The non wrapped thin ones. The wire breaks every 6 inches or so but cuts pretty fast and easy to slip new piece under and continue. Also used a reciprocating saw with long blade and ran it all around from inside car. Do not have to remove any inside trim.
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
