Tire option 195/75/r14

Post by Chard »

I stumbled across these looking for small rally tires. Might be a good option for someone looking for bigger AT tires.

I run these on mine. Work well and cheap.

Nice! I figured someone had found them. Those look awesome, but huge! Are those the 195/75/r14s?

Yes, they are the 195/75/14's and are 6 ply. They also sell a 205/75/14. I called the manufacturer and they said they are actually the same size but the 205's are bias-ply and are 8ply but not meant for the highway. They ended up being a lot taller than an actual 195/75 at closer to 26.5" instead of 25.5".

Do the 195s rub at all, Yaut? My car is stock height and I'm kinda curious about these guys--cheaper than the equivalent General Grabbers, and aggressive enough for snowy/icy Maine.

Hteverow,

Yes, they certainly rub when making sharp turns but otherwise they do not. The rears come close to the front side of the fender but I have never had them touch. My car is lifted about 1.5 inches though. I doubt you could run them on a stock height car.
