i did not do it. this is just a video showing yet another version of the conversion.
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

Weird indeed. Seems as if the oil pressure sensor is being used as a switch for the fuel pump. If the engine loses oil pressure, it'll cut the fuel. Don't know why they ran the choke wire like that either. There is a powered wire to the left of the carb somewhere in the harness.

According to wikipedia, a version of the engine using the Toyota TTC-C catalytic converter. Japan only and rated for 82.4 hp and 87 lb-ft of torque.

the 3au came into this country as a Japanese crate engine, everything bolts up the same. I think those came with the duel Japanese SU carbs as well. would be cool to have that set up on a USDM Tercel. not exactly legal per federal standards here, but on a car this old in most states it would not make any difference.
