Location map for Tercs

Post by NWMO »

Hey all,

A few of you have seen this, but I was wanting to share with everyone. Michael Scearce has set up a geo location map for Tercel owner’s. I assume you need a FB account, might be a good reason to sign up.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PL-aV ... sp=sharing

They are still working some bugs out, I just provided my info and it indicated it was received, but no pin has been dropped. Michael will get it worked out, for those who don’t know, I believe he “retains” the name Tercel4WD.com and keeps us legal (whatever that takes).

Hey Peter,

I can only assume he was having enough difficulty that he pulled it and is looking for something better. I will keep an eye out.

It leads to a Google sign in now. I don't have an account but it may now work.

Hey all,

I like this idea enough I want to push forward with something. That said, if others here have a better plan, please share and we can change hosts, etc. before it becomes a real pain. I have set up a mapping account at Mapcustomizer.com. The challenging part is I would typically need to collect/enter all data. To avoid that, I am sharing the username and password, this will allow each interested individual to input their data point AND anybody who wants to can copy the data for protection (I will do that frequently). Once a majority of the data is collected, I can change the password and those wanting added would then need to provide their info. for input. AGAIN, if there is a better site for this, please let me know and we can change before it is a real pain. Here is a LINK to the site login. Email is chrisned90@gmail.com AND the password is Mylocation

Once logged in, go the upper tabs and click on My Maps, under Actions (to the right of Tercel Folks), select EDIT and add your data point AND THEN SAVE THE DATA. If you don't SAVE, your data will not be added.

Here is the link to the map: Toyota Tercel Folks, it should update as data is entered.

Again, if we should set this up using a different host, please tell me ASAP.

I tried your map NWMO and I'm not sure that it recognizes Canadian addresses.
