Weekend update

Post by NWMO »

Hey all,

Traveled to south Missouri for some fun this weekend. 300 miles home tomorrow, but the car has done great. I stopped in KC and met SirFoxx and then visited with “Yaut” this morning. The best part is he went cruising with us (my wife and me). Two Tercs was great and with his car/winch, I never worried about trouble. Here are some pics.

The first pic is the Rusty Frog with Keegan’s 1st gen autocross car. The 7A bottom with 4age head pulls pretty hard. The next pics are the two Tercs.

This was early in the drive, I’m posting pretty much sequentially. I wanted the higher perspective, it made for a good photo. The third car needed through, we were all on the 3 ton bridge at once 😮.

Wrap up,

800+ miles from Friday-Sunday and all went well, met some fellow Tercel folks and had a blast.

Headed to Manhattan, KS next Sunday to check out K-State with my younger son. Looking forward to meeting Chard and seeing the turbo beast.

And thank you Diarmait,

I look forward to making it an annual trip and trying to get some others included.

SirFoxx (Keegan)
Loess
Slimdude
Chard

JDNightFox was in OKC, but moved to NM.

just for starters.

If others will help me build a list that would be great. They don't have to be members here, just fun loving folks who enjoy a little off-roading and hopefully an evening around a campfire. A lot of accommodations within 10-20 miles ranging from primitive camping, tent camping w/ bathrooms, RV camping and even lake side camping with all the amenities. And for those who aren't big on camping, Springfield, MO is right up the highway.

As with the other sideways photos, if you click on them they orient properly. The brick parking spot is where Terc #2 was parked, we needed to open it up for our first AirBandB guests this weekend, so if anybody is in northwest MO and needs a place to stay, look us up.

And with the second Terc moved into the garage, there is a much greater chance I will make time to start playing with it. My wife had a good enough time she said she would drive the second Tercel when it’s ready.

Chris

PS - Big picture plan would be to form a smaller group of die-hard Terc owners and form a vacation trip to the PNW to meet up with a similar group there!

ha! that would be quite the T4wd gathering: get a group of T4wd owners to caravan across the country to some central camping/vacation place. we could even have clinics, a parts swap, fun and games!

Hey marlinh,

Diarmait had a friend build the bumpers for him and they are very nice, particularly the front.
