Well - back in 2006, I got both inner and outer tie rods from AutoZone for PS for $106.
Unfortunately, I did not file the part numbers, but I note that AZ does separate them for PS and MT - no dimensions shown, however.

Yup on "going strong;" still straight at speed on a Interstate!
Granted, they've not seen ANY use on unpaved tracks, but ...

I always just get the lowest price items from rockauto for parts that I can verify are not Chinese made. Usually made in japan or USA are good quality parts. Price on RA is unrelated to quality. they get close out parts from various sources, some overseas, most domestic. One time I ordered brake parts for our Mazada, it was "private label" made in Japan, they were cheap. they came in NAPA boxes, NAPA supposedly only uses the same supplier as the factory and puts a lifetime warranty on them, but I got them for about 25% of the NAPA price. likley they were surplus parts they were unloading. No issues with quality.

The tie rod ends usually last a long time and really are not heavy wear items like disk rotors or a clutch. Just get the cheapest ones and get your car on the road, they will hold up fine. They are not that much work to replace again later if you have trouble, but for less than $20 whe really cares. You need your car running, just do it.

Yup on "Duralast."
Of course, that was 12 years ago, so who knows the manufacturer then - or now?

Usually in the detailed description on their website, when you click on the "more info" link, it will say country of origin. sometimes they list the manufacturer, and with the part number you can track it down from there.

What's up with the 2 lengths of inner tie rods? I can't find it mentioned and this thread is the only place that seems to be appropriate to ask. Rockauto has inner tie rods for my 83 that come in 5.7 inches and 6.3 inches. They don't indicate whether one is for a manual or anything like that..
