My car is a 1987 Toyota Tercel DX Wagon RHD 1452cc manual driven car.
Since this is a old car, exhaust pipe is a re-made one. It is difficult to remove to clean and repair.
There is a joint near the catalytic converter. After that there isnt any joint.
So I need to make a joint at rear aspect.
There is a one place which has a easy access but is very close to the fuel tank.
Would it be ok if I make a joint near the fuel tank if it is fully sealed ?

Re: Exhaust pipe joint near the fuel tank
I have done that. No problems for me. I put a bolted flange on one car and on another used a compression clamp
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
