late Sept, early oct, would work better for me, my summers are just too busy to carve a day out on a weekend.

Pick a weekend that works for you and let's get something nailed down! I think the longer we have it set in stone, the better our turnout will be.

Did this happen? I have a vintage BMW motorcycle and have been to several rallies and was thinking how fun it would be to have a Tercel rally. Harts pass looks like a really fun road! We should definitely try and set something up...an overnight camping would be ideal. Would anyone be interested in Memorial Day weekend? If that's too soon, maybe Labor Day weekend?

was not able to go, appears it did not happen. If I am available I would be game to go, presuming my Tercel is running again by than. should be, I got the engine back together and in the car, just need to finish bolting everthing up (mounts, alternator, etc), and put the dash back together (I replaced the heater core). I need it running, by this weekend I hope.

Spare Tercel...haha...I have one of those too!

Maybe we could schedule a breakfast/meet somewhere before a camping trip? Another thing we did in my BMW "club" was have a "tech" day once in a while at someone's house. I put tech in quotes cause mostly it was eating snacks and sipping beers but the idea was we tool around on anyone's bike that needs some work. I don't know if anyone has the space for a hoard of Tercels at their place but that could be fun too.

How do we drum up interest for a camping trip? Is there a way to search forum membership by location? If so, I could directly message everyone and see who's interested.

I think camping at this time of year in the PNW will probably dampen enthusiasm (sorry, I had to), so maybe the group meal idea, or a half day trail drive on local forest service roads, or something?

All my spare tercels are still in peices. Got the rebuilt engine in and started it this morning, now I have to get the dash back together (I replaced the heater core which requires taking the whole dash apart down to the firewall). So close I can feel it. We has a light dusting of snow this morning which motivated me to get it back together.

We could do a day meet and go play in the snow,I have a few favorite places for that up around Darrington (not far from my home). We can start a big bon fire somewhere, cook meat, drink beer, than go back to my place to get warm.

Anyone coming a long way to my neck of the woods can stay at my place, we have lots of extra rooms and beds.

Haha..good one. I was suggesting camping for Memorial Day or Labor Day though...trying to get it planned anyway.

Petros, glad to hear the car is coming back together. Your plan sounds awesome to me! As long as it's a weekend, just let me know when and I'll come over! Darrington is about three hours for me if I hit the ferry and traffic right...not super far but I'd crash for the night to avoid being in the car all day. Would an extremely large but extremely well behaved dog be welcome?

yes I do, but it is in a state of further disassembly, it is a long term project. I also have two spare cars on top of that, but they have their share of troubles too and I can not drive them any more. I have a lot of repairs to catch up on. so I am out of spare cars...

Good news is I have my daily driver back on the road. fuel pump sprung a leak around the seam, and I had a water leak at the by-pass tube. appears now fixed, but I feel I need to get a fuel pump incase my repair on the pump dose not hold.

I am 100% in! It'd be fun to find a camp near some mild trails.

How do you folks feel about the weekend of August 9-11th? That's the closest weekend I've got open, though we can generally expect dry weather into mid-September.

On the other hand, If we just wanted to meet up for an all-day BBQ/ forest service road tour, we could be more flexible in planning.

Thoughts?

That would work for me! I'd clear my schedule to hang with a bunch of T4s on a trailride. :)
