My car is a Toyota Tercel 1987 4WD 1452CC DX Wagon.
My car engine gone bad and white smoke emission is not controlled even after full engine repair (including re-boring, piston, gasket, valve andvalve-guide replacing and valve seat repairing).
I then moved to a engine replacement. I couldnt find a 3A engine in a local market since there are only a few Tercel vehicles available in my country.
What are the replaceable engines for 3A engines of Toyota tercel 1987 DX Wagon ?

sounds like something you did not fix when you rebuilt the engine. Always diagnose the problem before you try and fix it. head or engine cracked?
the 4ac engine came in the 83-88? cororllas, is a direct bolt in up grade, gives you a bit more power too. some design details improved over the 3ac as well. Well worth the up grade.
other engines can be made to work but required a lot of welding, cutting and fabricating of custom parts.

Re: Replaceable Engine models?
Thanks for the advice.
Engine was rebuild with re-installing water jackets and filling the external dents in the head. No externally visible cracks were found in the head and the block.
Is it possible to have internal dents and holes caused by rust which opens oil passages to water passages?
(I means those externally couldnt visible)
If possible to have such, is there any tests to diagnose them?

Re: Replaceable Engine models?
how far have you driven it since the rebuild
i recently replaced a head gasket and the car smoked badly
i drove about 10 miles before it quit smoking
it was white smoke
i am not sure why
maybe it was water in the engine from bad headgasket leaking water into oil
even though i changed the oil there would still be some water in the oil pathways

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
