4wd manual transmission mount

Post by NWMO »

https://www.yoyopart.com/oem/11999399/anchor-8377.html

Hey all,

Any help finding a source for one of these?? I assume worst case, a person could purchase a 2WD mount w/o the flat “ear” and add it.

I don’t know that mine has to be replaced, just trying to do all I can while swapping engines.

Haven't tried to order yet, the first place said they had them as well and then didn't.

Autozone is a tease as well, "out of stock".

jimcrazy's suggestion (above) sounds like the best and cheapest option available, particularly if you or a friend is handy with a welder

the only place online that I can find an actual tranny mount for our T4WD's -- the one that's asymmetrical, not symmetrical like most of them which are erroneously listed as being part # 12371-15070 -- is on eBay from a French seller, which will cost you over $100 US:

1985 Tercel SR5 4WD wagon, 300K
1987 Tercel DLX 4WD wagon, 6-speed manual, 274K -- got this one running Jan. 2015 (had been sitting for 2 years); this has been my daily driver since 2016

No problem fabbing one. I just wonder if the new mount would be better than oem +33 yrs, I can’t say I had any vibration problems, just seems like the time to sevice.

Butler just called! The parts guy checked all of Toy's USA warehouses and said they were NLA. He did suggest emailing the oldest dealers in your area, giving them the part number, just in case there was one lurking on a way-back shelf.
He did not have access to Toy of Canada or Mexico, so those are possibities.

Autozone still lists the 4WD transmission mount with the correct photo, but once you get to the point of typing in your payment info, they mention that the quanity of "1" is more than they have in stock.

I wish they would just removed the part listing...

This is how I overcame the mount availability problem.

I removed the bracket from the old 4wd mount and welded it on top of the 2wd mount.
