I posted this in the civic forum, was gonna see what you guys think! :)

Here's my current wish list. I update it from time to time when I think of something new to add. The 6 things up top I'm going to do first before anything else, and the others are in no particular order. Am i missing anything? I'm not doing much engine work because it has like 202,000 miles on my D16, so if i were to do engine work i'd swap in another d-series. Plus i have an automatic, and this is my daily driver, so no turbo or anything like that in this car. Any suggestions for my list?

1990 Honda Civic EX 1.6L SOHC Wishlist

Oil Change
Tune-up and Major Maintenance
New Tires
New Brakes

Use 4-gauge wire and have a better ground

Exterior Body Work (replace taillights, paint, get rid of rust, etc)

Clear Corners and Black Out Bumper Lights (clear corners look good with black projectors?)

Fix Passenger Side Window Motor (it rolls up slow, should i replace all of the motors at once? or as they go out?)

Dynamat For Trunk (it rattles like a ***** outside when the subs hit)

Tinted Windows (mirror to dark? or just keep it all dark)

Add Decal to windshield (it just says CIVIC, in the type of font used on the tailgate, will get it from stickershop.ca)

Interior Lighting (Cold Cathode Lights from ElWireCheap.com, Blue under all the seats and maybe in the trunk, maybe)

Replace interior carpet (stained, and the car will smell sometimes if you haven't driven it in a while cuz the last owner had a dog)

Projector Headlights - <a href='http://216.82.69.117/search_results.asp ... subcat=ALL' target='_blank'>http://216.82.69.117/search_results.asp ... cat=ALL</a>

H.I.D. Lights (gotta brighten up babeh)

Security System with Remote Options (remote start, entry, etc)

New Wheels (http://www.tires.com – rage style) and low pro tires

Get Sony CDX-8805X MP3/CD Receiver - $250 - <a href='http://www.discountave.net/cdsompre1.html' target='_blank'>http://www.discountave.net/cdsompre1.html</a>
(this can change, I jus want an MP3 player cuz i hate fiddling with so many regular cds when i'm driving)

Save up for an engine swap

Top 6 things would pretty much wreck my budget for awhile...espec if I didn't do the work myself.

Not trying to be negative or anything....I was considering going with a Honda...was looking at the Preludes one time. Liked the reliability and gas mileage. Had heard that they were difficult to work on though.

I say go with a total blackout including black powdercoated wheels. Neon inside. Since you're in Florida..maybe a white linen suit with a Panama hat?

gotta be creative.......if you need any more ideas...just ask............

I really like the Sony CD/MP3 player I got from Wal-mart. I don't know the difference between the one you want and their's but it's loud, handles the mp3 codec well, handles folders well...BUT it resets the random setting with each new disc.

Pioneer's are pretty good. Mine has handled every CD, MP3/WMA CD I've thrown at it. Only issue it has is with skipping really bad on rough roads with scratched disks. Disks with little-no scratching don't miss a beat, even going 50 down washboard roads.

Preludes are really fun to drive, especially if you throw a little money into them. Not many cars can throw you into the back of your seat. Those V-Tec engines are a marvel of camshaft engineering. If any of you don't know how they work, read this article-
<a href='http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm' target='_blank'>http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm</a>
Or go to this site-
<a href='http://www.leecao.com/honda/vtec/index.html' target='_blank'>http://www.leecao.com/honda/vtec/index.html</a>
How Stuff Works has tons of amazing articles, I suggest spending some time there when you get the chance.
Preludes get pretty good mileage, and are quite reliable, but can be a bit of a nuisance to maintain. The one Prelude I saw under the hood of looked like a Geo Metro under hood when it comes to space management, but that was a early one, and non-V-Tec.
