What are your thoughts on these things? I want to go look at it and maybe purchase it. Says it runs and drives. I'm just a sucker for old toyotas.

Bailey,

For me, no title is a no go unless I'm strictly buying a parts vehicle (or I want to take to time to try and re-title, not as easy as it used to be here in MO).

that looks like it is in fairly good shape (after a good cleaning). they are actually starting to take on a collector value, not many of those around.

I do not know what replacing the title takes in TX, but it is not so difficult in this state. It should be easy to check that it was never reported stolen. Here they will issue you a provisional title for two years, if no one makes a claim on it in two years, you get a full clear title title and complete ownership.

I knew the guy selling the car, turns out. I don't know what exactly he was trying to explain to me but all in all it cannot be registered at all for some reason. Neither here in texas or new mexico. He mentioned something about it not being in the system and would be a lot of money to figure all the registration stuff out.

Only reason for purchase would be to build a race car out of it. :(

I was reading that the 2tc had 75 hp, barely faster than the t4wd.

I had to pass on buying the car anyhow. Shame that it's going to go to waste.
