T4's and cigs

Post by splatterdog »

I see much fewer ashtray cars these days, but a recent stinker made me think about the fact that ALL of my T4's have had still new ashtrays. That's pretty good as they all have been around quite a while when I acquired them.

Fortunately this is not my pic, and have never seen one quite this bad. Just think what their house is like. Everything they own is a nicotine patch now. Barf!!!

OMG - someone brought in a car for you to work on looking like this?
They should be ashamed!

No Tom. I would refuse to get in that car. I got the pic off a technician forum. The only time I've had a tobacco refusal, so far, was a heater core job. I'm sure most here know that involves rolling around on the passenger floor for a while. Well this guy had been using that area for tobacco spit, now also soaked with coolant. Double barf.

If even a "clean" smoker car spends the night inside, it's windows up, keys on the roof. Otherwise I smell it as soon as the shop door opens in the morning.
