Lightly ship a heavy part

Post by Gottolovem »

Recipe :D   :oldgeek:
one home depo box
one old beat up life vest
one pillow
one can of expanding foam
one trash bag to put the part in
Finished shipping weight 47lb for a bell/diff
Fits nice and tight and can withstand a decent impact without damage.

I shipped a bell housing/front diff once, made a light framed wood and plywood crate, and than wrapped it with cardboard (for some reason fed Ex freight charges more if the box is anything but cardboard). I think my shipping weight was 41 lbs.
