Just saw it the other day. Don't know its history but I am sure it is complete.

Was it to demonstrate (or practice with) "Jaws of Life" or similar?
Perhaps the FD would permit removal of parts?

WTF?!?!?!?
They couldn't find a taurus?
It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.

It was to practice. And yes I will ask if I can get some parts from it.

We should start a petition to have marlinh take possession of the whole car for acquisition of all reusable parts.

look at the way the rocker panel is bent way in. I can not think of a reason for that to happen other than the car was already totaled in a side-on collition, no reason the "jaws" would cause that. Perhaps the idea was to find a car that you could not open the doors on the drivers side so they could remove the roof.

There should be a good trans in there, and grab those head lights and side marker lights too if you can! 4.1:1 rear end might be worth gettting as well.

No that would have been done at the fire hall. I saw that car before parked on someones land and there was no body damage. They would have tried to make it realistic for training purposes by bashing that side in.

If that is the case, what a stupid waste! Use a popular vintage car that is rare and use it for practice?

It would have been more realistic to get a wrecked car. Perhaps at least the parts can be used to keep more of remaining few running.

Tell them you want to "recycle" as many of the parts on it as possible, and that would be the most ecologically responsible thing to do.

Another sad note. Drove by this morning and the car had been towed away. Didn't even get the chance to pull parts from it.
