Oh I thought you were talking about a Tercel, whoops.

The shocks are probably for a RWD Corolla?

Toyota has a different part # for each corner of the car
Front right=48510-12472
Front left =48510-01010
Rear right =48530-12120
Rear left =48530-12140
The guy I spoke to from Toyota said the front and rear are in fact different parts but left to right are likely the same the different # represents a separate production run from Toyota. What ever that means

if you buy shock inserts they would be the same left and right, if you buy the whole shock assembly (included spring seat and lower mount) than there would be left and right sides. Likely you can buy both, either inserts or rebuilt assemblies on the after market. The factory does not use inserts, but uses the whole shock assembly so they would list different part numbers left and right since they are mirror images of each other.

Oh dayum, I thought you were serious for a second there . . . 1350 to 2040 is 3 to 4 times our rent - though the little FX could use a little more umph . . .

Whats the big deal between 87/88 with the FX? the title says 88, the door placard says DEC/87 - got paranoid had to double check the vin.
All searches for 1987 headlight assemblies shows old halogen sealed beam style, but the 88 - 92 is wrong, do I just have to wait til another NUMI plant car goes to the bone yard?

that is correct: it is the '88 model year, manufactured in 12/87. typically the next model year is being made in october or november for year end and first of the year deliveries.

Pretty sure the lights for that specific body style are rare now. Sort of like the 87-88 Tercel wagon headlights.

Yea, yesterday before work I pulled the core support back out and yanked the shattered passenger side reflector and aiming bracket, dry fit the new one - too long, too tall and had extra stuff that kept me from even getting it in place against the core support.
So it would seem I'm where I am with my T4WD - I like a good challenge!
I see an FX in north san jose on row 52, I'll blast down there saturday.
What else is rare for FX? tail lights?

P'n'P SJ was perfect, well I kinda feel I was bent over, tried to argue that a head light assembly was the aiming bracket, reflector and lens and that the tail lights were smaller than a GM/ford/dodge but $140 for all was still ok; what I got was passenger side headlight assy, passenger side marker assy, both tail lights and the rear cargo cover - it needs a little work but all the essential hardware is there, I might redo it with the black vinal that the previous owner cut to fit in the cargo area unnesisarily as the cargo space carpet is still fairly in tact.

This poor little FX looks like it was eitehr wedged under something or tenderly rolled onto its roof, but all else is in wonderful shape, it was a NUMMI car as ours is.

Also installing a vintage 70's airguide compass, have to fabricate a bulb housing and tie it into the dimmer dash ilum, she has zero sense of direction.

Yea one of these days I'm going to scrape off some SR5 and TRD emblems next time I think about it and I'm in the yards, Pocketable items.
I'm sure you can find one from any grille of 86 - 89 to fit if you shop around.
