I hate to do this but

Post by Gottolovem »

I have sent many parts to people on the forum and never been stung but it was bound to happen at some point. Without naming names at this point i will give him one more week to respond to my PM and pay for the 50.00 working carb I sent him!!!!!!!!

After the week is up i will let the rest of the forum know not to send him anything without payment first.

DUDE PAY FOR THE PART OR MAIL IT BACK  at least respond to my PM we are a honest bunch here trying to help one another out.

Sadly, I just recently registered my car finally.... as a classic :/
I put a weber on it a while back and bought a jet kit to go with it. I realized that after trial and error smogg tests get expensive. I know it can pass, I'm just not that good with carburetors.

I'm actually now a mail man and love it, I even am stationed for your district.
I drive up your boulevard almost every day now, maybe one day ill see ya.

Just today I saw two tercels, a new record!
Hows you??? hows the fx-16?

My next paycheck is in about 2 weeks, I get paid more than this week, so I will have to pay you next pay period. Sorry man, I'm trying to do what's right between us and it's only making it worse.

Did you get the car running better?
Re: Carb

No I have to adjust the distributor to match the jets to get it to idle at 800 rpm, it runs great but the timing is off somewhat

I thought you said it was running great is it the carb?
do you get the same results with the original carburetor on it?
keep at it you'll figure it out?

Sorry man I haven't, I've been messing around on the engine to get it to idle right and so far it hasn't. When I first start it up anytime, it will idle about 2,000 rpm then I barely touch the gas to drop it down and then it dies

This is a trust each other kinda deal.
I will mail you the carb and after you get it you mail me the cash 50.00 plus the postage.
The carb is used and not rebuilt but works fine

Seems the carb went to a "group home" home of some kind, not an actual person's house directly? Depending what kind of home that is, it could be anything from drug rehab to old folks' home...

I google earthed the address just for fun, looks like a big farm house with barn and several out buildings out in the middle of farm land. the "group home" might just be another way they make an income, like of like a day care center but for live in older people that need assistance. Usually the people running those make pretty good income.

I could see a lot of vehicles on the property, but none specifically look like a Tercel, could be in the shop building.

The excuses sound pretty lame, could be just bad luck for him, but it does not sound like it after 4 months. I had almost this happen to me on another forum, the guy was in a big hurry for a body part, had some complicated story about why, but when it came time for him to send money started making excuses, but insisted I get it shipped right away. Looked too fishy and told him to express mail a check and he will have the parts two days after that. I never got a check. So I always insist I get payment first before I ship, no one has complained.

Too bad. This is a great bunch of people here, sad to see someone take advantage. Is that person blocked from the site now? What happens? If they change their user name is there a way of identifying that person to make sure they can't rejoin?

He's not blocked yet, but that is a good idea! There are ways of telling if someone rejoins, yes.
