Looking for licence plates!

Post by irowiki »

I want to make a montage on my garage wall with every state's licence plate. Also looking for Canadian provinces!

I have CO, NM, AZ, CA covered.

Will pay a reasonable amount (say, $5-10) plus shipping to 87401! PM me!

There are places that sell bulk old plates for cheep.
Do a google search you can buy hundreds for pennies on the dollar.

I knew an old farmer that shingled the roof of his barn with old licence plates it was a great idea they will outlast the barn itself.
here is some on ebay
http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=C4e5 ... type%3Dpla

complete set on amazon 5.00 each kinda pricey and there is no thrill of the hunt.

EDIT
perhaps not pennies on the dollar

I can try to get my hands on some at the local yard -- NH and MA.

It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.

Half of an entire wall of my garbage is covered in Lic. plates I've collected over the years. I probably have 15 states represented.

The holy grail of plates is the polar bear shaped one from the Northwest Territories of Canada. I've been looking for one of those for years.

Kinda, but for now, just plaster the wall with them like emma does.
