I have shipped two heavy items now through greyhound and it's just over a dollar a pound
Transmission w/o diff bell housing in a wood crate 99.9 pounds 116.40 from Reno to St Louis
Other half of same tranny 4.11 diff in it's bell housing in wood box 65 pounds 75.00(roughley i don't have the receipt) Reno to Boise.

How has a rebuild gone? Gottalovem you have anymore rebuilt trannies?

Well me and hwy1tercel took down his tranny and put it all back together but their ended up being a bad noise in the end :evil: I think it had something to do with a combination of aluminum and metal shift forks. Ended up just selling him a low mile 142k tranny with the rear gears out of a parts car :oldgeek:

Your yard looks hard core compaired to when I was there, hi top chevy van, OSB fence and a battalion of T4WD's?
I should bring out that bucket of parts and help you put something together one of these days.
It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.

I just went to order this at advanced today and the representative said it wasn't in his system at all. So FYI this is online order only. I did get a $50 discount code when I ordered it though, which took care of shipping and tax.
