Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

those journals look fine. Where there are oil grooves in the bearings it allows a glazed layer to stay attached to the journal. Cast iron is actually fairly porous, and oil soaks into the surface, where it does not get wiped off it will develop that discoloration where it gets kind of baked on.

If you take 800 grit wet and dry to it and polish the journals, with solvent or soap and water, it will come right off.
