yes! i totally agree that this is one of the best upgrades. so simple but very useful, at least in rainy climates. i did the same thing on my ae95 shortly after i got it.

Can the intermittent wiper switch be swapped from tercel to tercel?

Anyone have an extra one for a car with Cruise Control? Mine doesn't function in "Int" mode, but works for all the other settings.

Does anyone know if the combination switches are the same from 84-89 pickups or can you just use the ones from 4-runners for this mod?

the pickups and 4runners use the same combo switches but you still have to make sure they have the A06 switch. i found it was a toss up as to which kind of switch they had, even though they looked the stalks and hazard light look the same.

So,

As I look a little more, I assume the A10 plugs DO NOT include intermittent wipers. The A06 is needed, more like this?

I'm not sure about A10 plugs but A11 ones have a separate small plug for the adjustable intermittent wiper feature. It was in the photos I posted on the second page of this thread but Photobucket has kindly blurred all my pics because they keep trying to find ways to squeeze a few more $$$ out of people. Anyway, A06 are the ones you want so yes, the ones in that auction are correct.

Hey dlb,

I may go try to pull one of these units off an 87' truck, can you tell me if that steering wheel will take the same size/thread of bolt as the Tercels? I guess I could take some smaller diameter with washers and nuts that I could make work, but it would be nice to have the correct size.

Sorry Chris, it's been a long time so I can't say for sure but I do believe it was the same size nut that holds the steering wheel on the trucks as the tercel. It was big, either 19 or 21 mm I think.

Dlb,

I was asking about the threaded portion of the steering wheel that lets you get a puller on it, usually 0.25”x20 or so, but surely metric for Toyota.

Oh I don't know about that. I never used a puller, just pushed and pulled each side a few times. They take some oomph to do it but not that much.
