Monroe coil over Spring/shocks for rear

Post by kamiphloj »

Spoke to tech rep and it is not a listed application,so it cannot be said Monroe will recommend or warranty.End style and length seem correct.Search Monroe shocks to get to catalogues and you can get a dimension chart.Compare specs wth application for Terc for yourself.I accept no responsibility for outcome.
Monroe58510.Advance said they would special order for about $75.Only price I checked.Supposedly 500 lbs total for correct app, which is probably heavier than Tercel.Dunno how that works.kamiphloj

Monroe coilovers probably won't work

Looking closer at this I suspect there is not clearance for the spring OD to the body at the upper mount kamiphloj

58510 S4 L1/CP3 12.750 21.375 8.625 V/R P577 & P591

MA700 S4 L1/CP3 12.750c 21.375 8.625 None P576 P1134

Here it is compared to the M700...which fits...sort of.

Since it doesn't have the fitting on it you'd have maybe a 1/2" extra clearance or an extra 1" in diameter possible vs the MA700?

right click?

Should fit....somebody got the MA700s to fit with the fitting to the inside by denting the sheet metal in some at top.

I had some 750 lb rated springs (JCWhitney) on some old shocks and they didn't have too much lift.
