1983 Owners and Repair Manual

Post by seantp » Sat Feb 24, 2018 2:04 pm

I just received a Repair Manual and an Owner's Manual for the 1983 4WD from a kind elderly gentleman. I'm thinking about removing the binding and running it through my sheet-fed scanner. Is there any interest out there? In the mean time if anyone needs reference on a specific repair I could share a few pages.

Would like to see what Motor Trend had to say about our cars...
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

85 SR5 Blue
88 SR5 White (the 'good' one)-not anymore-totaled

I'd be interested, my car is an 83 and it'd be great to have access to that. I know there are subtle differences in the manuals and the wiring diagrams and colors may be different. I found an fsm for an 84 that is a little different than the 85 one on here and has photos instead of illustrations in some sections, though the illustrations are probably easier to decipher. I didn't think about using a feed scanner like that, I suppose you could hole punch it and put it in a 3 ring binder when you were done.
