It was a farm car, hasn't seen pavement in 10 years. After selling my Z24 rims to a guy for his neon, we where at his house and helped his dad put a 305 in the back of a van to keep it out of the rain, and I noticed this rust bucket rotting away next to a rolled over Grand Am. I was told "It runs, but the carb needs work, and the tires are no good."

Dragged it out of the weeds, threw a battery and some gas in it, and whatcha know. It runs!




3A-C 1.5l carbureted 4cyl








Took some wheels from a Geo to go test out the 4wd








week later, cleaned up, tuned the carb, new plugs, oil change, fixed clog in fuel tank, seat covers, and rims.

ok this is bull. this does the same thing my Grand Prix forum does. if the pics are too big, it just cuts them off. half of the pics are missing, why doesn't it just resize them, or widen the page?? all my pics look terrible..

I paid one wrecked '97 Cavalier Z24 with a blown motor that my brother just gave me.. so in turn, I paid nothing. on top of it, I sold a few parts off the Cav and made some money

Wow - so the plastic box next to the carb is the "fuel tank" that someone rigged? Was that "delivery hose" sealed into a cap or just stuck in the hole? I hope he drove around with an extinguisher, just in case...
I love the "necker 'nob" on the steering wheel - those were all the rage when I was in HS - in the '50s. I thought those had been relegated to history long before now.

no the delivery line was in a spout coming out of the bottom of the tank. He just rigged it up like that to get it running, turns out, there was a really bad clog in the main line inside the tank where it bends. fixed that the night before I took the pics with the rims on it. Now I just have to figure out what to do with a half tank of paint thinner...
