funny article in that it appears in Autoweek, rather than the latest auto news, it is about reminiscing about an odd little 1980's econ-box.
one funny statement: "what must be the rarest of all Tercel 4WD Wagon options:" talking about the inclinometer. not THAT rare, but not easy to fine for sure. the rarest would be factory cruise control and power door locks, reported to be made optional in the last model year they were sold. Never seen either, even once.
yeah he gets a couple of things wrong about the inclometer. we had them in Aus til 1988 but I think they stopped them in the USA after '85 although it seems it was an option after that. The landcruiser one actually has an altimeter on it rather than a 4wd indicator but still it has an icon of a tercel on the rotating dials!
