If anyone has a cosmetically nice mete with a dark colored hood I would be interested in one.

Also, did you read the last sentence? Way to fleece the community while telling EVERYONE ELSE ON EARTH what car to find these in...

Ha, I think most people know how much these are worth before. The author is an aficionado of our cars and has detailed quite a few here http://www.murileemartin.com/Junkyard/J ... oyota.html and never found an inclometer. So I guess he deserves to be excited about finding one.

funny article in that it appears in Autoweek, rather than the latest auto news, it is about reminiscing about an odd little 1980's econ-box.

one funny statement: "what must be the rarest of all Tercel 4WD Wagon options:" talking about the inclinometer. not THAT rare, but not easy to fine for sure. the rarest would be factory cruise control and power door locks, reported to be made optional in the last model year they were sold. Never seen either, even once.

Ouch at that last line. Those units are already worth far too much on eBay.

yeah he gets a couple of things wrong about the inclometer. we had them in Aus til 1988 but I think they stopped them in the USA after '85 although it seems it was an option after that. The landcruiser one actually has an altimeter on it rather than a 4wd indicator but still it has an icon of a tercel on the rotating dials!
