Seriously I bought my Tercel January 28th...and here I am 33 days later arranging to pick up a second damn Tercel! I did not heed this warning.

Looks nice! A warning though, these can be addictive.
Owner was going to scrap it but instead is practically giving me this car because she doesn't want to see it crushed
1985 SR5 w/sunroof
Rough'ish looking and according to the owner in need of some serious mechanical love and a head gasket. Newer tires on factory waffle alloys. Running but only just barely. Seems like a good candidate for the Gambler 500 to me!
Know what you mean- I've had 11 or 12 Tercel wagons over the last 23+ years (currently have 5 in varying stages of disrepair...)
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!
83 SR5 Silver/Blue (Snowmobile/work beater)-totaled but drivable
85 SR5 Blue
88 SR5 White (the 'good' one)-not anymore-totaled
87 fwd silver wagon a/t
87 4wd dx Cream (a/t- not anymore- now m/t)
looks like a descent body, even if paint is weathered. might look better after a rub down, touch up and polish. too good for a gambler. head gasket is an easy fix, of course you do not know what else it may need until you fix the engine and get it on the road. might find all of it good, or might fine needs wheel bearings, seals, brakes, clutch, bushings and a lot else. Usually thought they are decent running cars until a major repair comes along, and someone just puts it aside to "fix later" because they can not bring them selves to junk such a great car. leaves decent ones for us to pick up and fix.

It looks similar to the one I have of the same color. The clearcoat is peeled in places on mine so waxing it really doesn't hide much.
What year is yours? This is an '85 and I was hopeful single stage paint
usually the clear coat only comes off the roof and hood (up facing surfaces). I have carefully peeled off any loose clear coat on the edges, and than lightly sanded the edge of the clear coat to taper it down, than added several coats of new clear coat spray from a spary can. Not perfect, but greatly improves the appearance, evens out the color somewhat.
