2% error. Actual speed of 76 at reading of 75.
They do rub a little bit in a full-lock turn.

Those are some DAYUM fine wheels for what you paid...AND you got a pair of Kumhos on the front to boot.....four of those torroidally shaped spring boosters...and you'll know what driving is all about.
Look like aftermarket wheels that fit the Escort....not OEM?
Life just isn't fair.....

Very nice indeed. What rubber are you running on them?
I get about a 10% error running 185/75R14s all round.
Hence, the speedo shows 100kmh when I'm really doing 110.

1983 Tercel SR5 with 185/75R14 tyres, 32/36 DGAV Weber carburetor, lumpy cam and upgraded Pioneer sound system. Veteran of several fire seasons (with the scars to show it) and known as "The Racing Turtle"
Front tires have semi-ggod tread, backs are pretty well worn but still have more than adequate grip for the Terc...
Front- 205/50R15 Kumho Ecsta (Directional tires)
Rear- 195/55R15 Yokohama YK420
GOD THESE TIRES GRAB
I just took a corner at 45mph that I was actually terrified about pushing that hard on. Normally I'dve been sliding sideways at about 35mph. I'll try 50 eventually.
What I'm scared of is that I know that I'm more likely to flip now as these tires have the grip to grab if I got sideways versus the others that would just slide.
I want good struts/shocks, springs, and some urethane bushings.
Who was offering some urethane bushings?
The rims have a little thing in the center that reads Ford. I'm going to try and get a Toyota replacement insert or just a blank insert.
All of my friends said that it was a vast improvement over the stock steels. One said more or less this- "I don't know ho wthe hell you pulled it off, but those 15 inch Ford rims look great on that car."
The grill team at work thought it looked gangster lol.

Biggest issue on the front swaybar are the end bushings and you need to stay stock with those.
The front rubber bushings were still fine on a car with over 200K miles...you can shim them a little with thin plastic or metal to snug them up....IMO poly isn't worth the trouble.
If you don't have stiffened springs...you should watch the corners and so forth...and remember...there is still gravel and ice...they'll sneak up on you every time.....
Wheels must be original Ford...might have been the last years or so of the Escort that had those...or the Mazda drive train...later models?

I parked next to an Escort Sport today with similar rims (six spoke and less of an angle backwards) Alloy with the same little Ford insert in the center
