Nope. Sorry. They are completely different. The whole back half of the two cars are completely different.

As far as switching "bodies" goes, front fenders, doors and tailgate will swap. Rear fenders are part of the unibody (and different.) No problem with the engine- just swap the flywheel and pilot bearing over.

Taking one of the early May 1982-Aug 1984 JDM Tercel 4-door sedans and converting one of them to 4WD using the Sprinter Carib drivetrain of the same year range would be another interesting mod.
