Sometimes the tangents that we break off into in our little discussions on the forum make me laugh like crazy I don't trust anything that says smart especially car

It was proven last night that the car was not on autopilot at the time of the crash. The Tesla autopilot requires you to keep both hands on the wheel, and the guy did not, and 30 seconds before the crash the car warned him and turned autopilot off.

I think this was a different situation, the one I heard was in Miami, this one was not. the one the professor mentioned was the one in Miami, it drove into the semi because the sensors did not recognize it.

So where is the blame? Driver, or car manufacture (which BTW, I am told warns drivers that is in NOT to be used as an autopilot, even those that is the way is is sold!)

Ah, well in that special case, would the driver have avoided the semi too?

It isn't so much an autopilot as it is an assistant.
