my old 86 fwd rolled over 555555.5 kms not miles on way home tonite, still running strong

are those the true kms for the FWD? did you swap the odometer over when you swapped clusters?

when I swaped the cluster they were within a couple thousand kms

My tercel:: 1983, DLX 4wd wagon with 4.1 manual gearbox, tow bar). Manual steering. 313,000 kms. Tercel 4WD SR5, 1987, 500,000kms. Other car - 2003 Rav4, AWD, 2l manual, Peugeot 407 Diesel (93,000 miles) in Ireland for use when on holiday there.

I didn't realise you guys in Canada use Kms. Do you use litres as well or US/imperial gallon? Jim, have you done a compression test on the engine cylinders lately. Just wondering what sort of figures you get on an engine that's done that many kms, especially in your cold climate.

yep, liters and km. we're all metric, although lots of people still use lbs and feet/inches casually when talking about height and weight, or you're buying meat at the market, that sort of thing.

You learn a lot on this site and not just about the Tercel, for examle, I like it when you guys put your locations in your profile. I get to check it out and learn more about places I've never heard of.
