Off topic, but is this your car?:Image
-The one in the front I mean. The one in the back is mine. I took the picture in Astoria when I was passing through a couple of years ago.

Never mind. I just saw a picture of yours earlier in the thread and it's different (or at least painted different). By the way, I liked Astoria. It's a neat town. Plus, the Goonies. I don't know if you locals can't stand the Goonie thing, but the tourist marketing people seem to think it's very important to tell everybody about. I remember years ago I was visiting Port Angeles and the big thing there at the time was the movie Twilight. The stores were all selling twilight stuff and there were awkward-looking tourist dads and brothers standing outside the stores while their daughters (Twihards) shopped inside. Local guys would drive by in their old pickup trucks yelling "losers!" out the windows. I don't know if you have a name for Goonies fans.

i probably will do that because to have it installed would be ~$125 plus i'd have to find the part.

the owners of the house tarped it off to the public because people were getting out of hand with trespassing and stuff.

Our front windshields are glued in with urethane. The "seal" comes in a tube.
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

so far to fix the dying when slowing i turned the idle up to 2k i drove it home and it ran just fine, didn't die once. i noticed that i don't have a screw in the spot near the throttle positioner, is there supposed to be one there? it looks like a setup similar to an idle adjuster.

Problem is- in order to seal it properly, the glass should be removed, cleaned, and re-installed. I always have a professional do it- I'm no good with fixed glass...

i know that's the right way to do it, but i just want it to not be so wet inside. i believe i could accomplish this by using a silicone under the trim. fingers crossed

put a liberal coating of seam sealer around the windshield, hopefully that takes care of the leak.

does anyone have any tips on getting the door handles to keep from sticking? specifically the rear outters.

Every couple of years I take off the inner door panels and spray the crap out of everything I see (locking mechanism, window rolling mechanism, hinges) with some kind of silicone lubricant.

remove the inner door panels and spray PB blaster or any penetrant of your choice over the internals of the handles, as well as all the joints in the linkages. super easy. while you're in there, you should liberally spray the metal channel at the bottom of the window with white lithium grease. this helps keep the windows easy to roll up and down.

oops, mark beat me to it.
