I wish. I think if I went that big, I'd rather have a transmission that can handle it without hearing it cry out to its creator for mercy, so it would probably have to be a transverse mount. Not sure if the '85's bay can do that.dlb wrote:4age swap? (kidding, kidding)
I still need to replace the steering rack and the yoke, replace the expansion valve, install a new A/C compressor, replace the rear shocks and then maybe replace the fronts if they fail the bounce test.
I also need to install the electric fuel pump and the fuel regulator when that arrives, then I need to do the distributor timing. I have to work on it out in the sun, and temperatures are over 100 degrees F right now. The heat isn't so bad, but the sun is horrible.
Lastly, I need to make a couple of block-offs or get someone to make them for me. Oh, yeah, and install some locking hood pins. I kept thinking about how I basically broke into the engine bay from the outside, no problem, and I feel like it's not worth the risk of stealing an expensive little automotive battery. I could move the battery, but it's not in the way where it is.
...Oh, and the exhaust. SO BASICALLY MY WORK HERE IS ALMOST DONE, HAHAHA!

I got one of the rear shocks disconnected completely except for the brake line so I could look at how the brake line is hooked to the strut housing, just to be totally sure I'd need to unhook it. I am quite offended. I need to bet a picture of the shaft on the shock because it's um. It's really bad.
I also got the steering rack out and still need the yoke for a manual rack.
I also need to do something with all these cores I have piling up. I need to get rid of the power steering pump, the rack, the old A/C compressor, and plus the old starter off my 1ZZ-FE.

I was not able to pull the driver's side one as I neglected to bring my impact gun and tools.
