My tercel:: 87 tercel 4x4 wagon w/reringed engine, 83 tercel 4x4 wagon w/salvaged engine and 4.1 Diff's

its like a plug on the bottom of the tranny
it would be easy to swap except you would have to drain the oil
or pull it out fast and insert new one fast
just have to unscrew the ring that holds the elbow like thing on the end of the cable that attaches to tranny speedo
then remove 10mm hexhead bolt that holds flat metal clip in place (the clip slips into a slot on the speedo )
now pull the speedo thing out
it has an "o" ring on it and friction is all thats holding it in
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
