clutch bleeding

Post by steen »

Is there a seperate bleeder valve for the clutch? My third gear glitches every shift up or down unless I pump the clutch 3 or 4 times no matter the speed I'm going. The brake and clutch master cylinders are the same, yes? Thanks for any input, Steen

there's no bleeding procedure, because the clutch is cable- activated. if you're only experiencing a problem when shifting into one gear, it's probably a trans issue. could also be a problem with the plastic sector gear on the clutch pedal, but that's unlikely.
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

Possibly - and that's a distant possibly - the bushing at the base of the shift lever in the trans extension is worn/missing. I'd check it - there are a number of threads on this in the Repair Guides and Parts sections.
