engine swap from auto trans to manual

Is there a problem swapping a 3A from a 2wd automatic transmission to a 4wd manual transmission? How about swapping a 4ALC for a 3A? Thanks for any input, Steen

3a should not be a problem
will need flywheel
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
