what fluid is in that tranny?

Have you checked under the shifter boot to see if the housing is contaminated with water?
Check that fluid level... Could be low....

That gutless? Could be a carb problem.

If you havn't changed the fuel filter since the engine rebuild or the last 20,000 miles, I'd start there. I experienced what you describe in power loss with the 86 deluxe. Fuel filter fixed it.

The humming ....hmmmm? Is that during warm up or when you are rolling?

Could have some snow collected on the inside of a front rim...will cause a front wheel to jump around.
