Trying to find what activates the switch that turns on the dome lights when the hatch is opened.

There are a couple of "levers" near the latch area, but neither will turn the dome lights on or off.

Could there be a mercury switch in the hatch somewhere????? :blink:

I'm not sure about the Tercel, but most cars have the switch in the latch.
