After confirming good function on VSV and the air valve, I serviced the evap canister per the FSM. With nice weather and time I put it back together after lunch today to find it did not help with the issue.
Did replacing that melted fuel line going into the evap canister help with anything at all? Mine has the exact same melted hose (wonder what causes this), I replaced it but haven't tested it out yet since I discovered my fuel pump is leaking. Now I gotta wait for my fuel pump from rock auto.

Sorry I didn't see this for eons,

I don't know that it changed anything as I replaced it the same time I was doing the head work. I wondered at the time if the open intake valve may have allowed pressure/heat back into the air line and created the "melting".

If I don't respond in a timely fashion, I've typically missed the reply. All, please feel free to PM me if I've missed a reply you would like.
