Caliper Slide Pins
I have been fighting for awhile with getting the slide pins on all of my calipers free. The issue seems to be with the way the dust boots for the slide pins seem to have an inner diameter that is smaller than the boot that the slide pins themselves are supposed to ride in. Effectively, the slide pins ride on the rubber dust boots instead of the metal sleeve which holds to pins tight from moving. I have done all the usual cleaning and light lubricant to no avail and have also purchased and install brand new dust boots but they are exactly the same. I'm almost to the point of removing the boots completely and resolving to cleaning the pins constantly of debris that will be sure to build up. Any ideas on what my deal is? I am sure I'm installing the boots properly.

Re: Caliper Slide Pins
I have not had this problem, but I know they make a brake grease for lubricating the moving parts in a caliper, should be compatible with the rubber boot. they sell it at autoparts stores in small envelopes (like fast food katup) for like $1.

Re: Caliper Slide Pins
Usually just twisting them back and forth a few times with pliers loosens them up
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
