Dash lights and speedo cable.

I took my dash out to replace the dash lights with Led lights
1) the orginal lights are 158 , can I replace with 194 led?
2) will led dash lights work for the blinking turn signal indicator?
3)The speedo cable squeals and the speedo indicator jumps all around when the temp is winter cold. Any toughts about spraying it with silicon or chain and breaj lube or quick dry teflon?

speedo cable can be lubed best by pulling it out of the housing, clean off old gummy grease and rust, than get a hand full of grease and slip it back in as you drag it though the grease. I like the graphite grease mix that Ford uses, I have also used molley lube.

you need a durable lube, silicone and light spray lubes will not last long, wheel bearing grease and molly lube are intended to hold up long term.

I replaced my dash lights with leds from superbrightleds.com. If you search the forum for "superbeight" the thread should pull up with part numbers I used.
