I have a few plastic trim pieces nearly falling off or loose. Will molding tape work to put these back on. I ask because I have never seen molding with the foamy padding (sound dampening?) stuff integrated into the plastic, and it doesnt seem to take to molding tape very well. Do you just run tape down the middle channel? I'm also asking to hear about long term results I guess- will molding tape keep it on?
Cheers,

Re: door molding reinstallation help (molding tape?)
the last year they made these wagons they used molding tape instead of the plastic clip fasteners.
the two sided foam tape should work, clean both sides very well to get a good bond. I have used it to hold on a home made rear spoiler/visor over the rear window. it held up well to my surprise, a number of years without issue. it came off when I had kayaks on the roof and opened the rear hatch, the spoiler pressed against the bottom of the kayaks, and levered it off.
