Would this EGR valve suit for my Tercel?

Post by Dumindu »

My car is a 1987 Toyota Tercel DX Wagon RHD 1452cc 2bl manual driven car.

When I bought the car the EGR valve was not there. I searched for a EGR valve in local market. But I coulnt find.

Please can someone tell me weather this EGR valve for Toyota Camry RAV4 Solara, found on Ebay.com suit for tercel wagon.

that valve looks similar, but I would be surprised if it actually fit. those cars listed have completely differnent engines than the old first and second generation Tercels. It might be able to be adapted if you are good with your hands at improvising, but I doubt it is a direct bolt in replacement.

if they were the same it would show as being effective for your car, along with the newer cars.

your car will run fine without an EGR, you just need to block off all of the ports. This is only an issue if your area requires smog checks and inspections by the local authorities.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Since this is relatively cheap, I will buy this and see weather the connections are possible to be done.
