Map Lights

Ok, guys, this may be a dumb question, but where should I route the wiring for maplights ?? I got a unit out of a Cressida wagon at the junkyard. Wiring it up should be pretty simple, but I want to be sure to do it without taking too much of the car apart. I'm thinking wiring into the hot for the dome light will be best. Any suggestions on the easiest way to get these things in ?
