Yes, I'm the seller of this Tercel on EBAY right now...

<a href='http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 75539&rd=1' target='_blank'>http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 39&rd=1</a>

3ac-power was the one who turned me on to this site. Great site by the way.

I'm a huge fan of Tercel Wagons. As I stated on my auction, this is my second Tercel and I'm a big fan of these cars (and also the Honda RealTime 4WD wagons as well).

Yes, this is the 3rd time I've posted the car on Ebay. Both bidders on the earlier auctions were deadbeats. One winner never even tried to contact me at all. Everytime you post a car on ebay it costs $40 flat fee. Being the third time on ebay it has cost me $120 so far.

So why am I hear ranting? Because eventually once this car sells on ebay I will probably buy another one some time in the future and I would love to use this site as a resource. Also, I read the other posts and I wanted to defend my self and the so called "inconsistencies" someone else has pointed out about my auction.

First off I would never try to fraud anybody, nor have I ever. I wouldn't even think of trying to get "one of my friends to bid high to drive the price up". The things I do when I sell, I only wish people would do for me when I'm the buyer...ie take more pictures, explain things in more details etc. I've been screwed enough times.

I originally paid $1850 for this car. Flew down to San Antonio Texas and drove the car back to Michigan ($300+ airfare). If that's not a true enthusiast then show me otherwise. I have spent on repairs and parts alone $400 total. I have all the reciepts to prove this!. I also forgot to mention on the auction that I replaced the alternator. That alone was $129.31

This is a quote from the other post that upset me:
"I wouldn't lose any sleep over the Michigan car, 3AC.....sounds like a lot of inconsistencies in the description to me. I've spent most of my career in the automobile business and this guy sounds like the typical used car salesman. Notice all the things he says he has done to the car....total it all up and you've maybe spent $300, but more likely $200. Now look at the list of stuff that needs doing.....$1500 minimum, I'd say, but probably much more. I didnt' even see a picture of the rust on the hood. He says he bought it as a winter driver, but then kept it stored through the winter.....says it doesn't use oil as far as he can tell, but how can u tell if you're not driving it ?? It either uses oil or it doesn't ....check the dipstick and be honest about it !"

I'm not a car salesman, nor have I ever been or intend to be. I'm a car enthusiast, mainly japanese cars. What stuff are you totalling up that needs to be done that you would think costs $1500 or more?? I've attached a picture of the hood with the rust spot. Yes I bought the car initiially for the winter but parked it because I wanted to make sure it was reliable enough to drive both my daughters in (1 and a 5 year old, my angels). The only other reason I still haven't driven it is because we have 3 other cars to drive. I had the oil changed in Texas prior to the drive back home (approx 1300 miles). When I got home it appeared to not use any oil, and yes I'm perfectly capable of checking my own oil.

So in conclusion, if anyone has any other questions please feel free to email me at dimaguila1@hotmail.com.

btw, I never expected the car to go this high in price.

Here's some more links to some pictures.

3ac-power, whatever car you do decide to buy I hope it works out for you. Good luck, I hope you got those other pictures I emailed you as well. B)

Sorry. That bidding thing was just a sort of fear I had becuase it could so easily be done. I did say probably not right afterwards. It looks like someone really wants your car and I can't bid higher because I know there are better deals. If the winner backs out this time, not to say he will or anything, then we can always work out a deal.

Not a problem 3a-c power.

If for some reason the high bidder does back out again we can definitely work out a deal if you'd like. I can keep you informed.

btw, the high bidder has been emailing me too and seems to be a huge tercel fan as well. Whoever does buy the car I'll denitely refer them to this website!

My apologies if my post came across the wrong way. Sometimes we read things a certain way based strictly on what information is available, combined with our past experiences, and it can be easy to draw conclusions that may not be correct. I've just seen so much b/s in the car selling realm that I tend to be skeptical. I was in retail for several years, and I've seen not only dealers be much less than honest, but customers as well. Again my apologies, Eddie, the information in your reply post clears up the questions . Thanks.

It's a great looking car from the pics. I think we're all like you....suprised at the price it's bringing, but then that's good for you, and ultimately good for us , too ( unless we're the one trying to buy)! As these cars become more scarce, cars in good shape will continue to bring a good price. That's why I think mine is going to be worth a good paint job and some engine work to take care of the oil consumption.

Good luck with it, and thanks for responding.
